From Enlistment to Discharge (2023–2025)
All Moments for Global ARMY
Jimin and Jungkook of BTS officially began their mandatory military service, enlisting together at the 5th Infantry Division Training Center in Yeoncheon, South Korea. Both members thanked fans, promising to stay healthy and return stronger.
After completing basic training, Jimin and Jungkook graduated and were assigned to the Artillery Brigade in the same division, continuing their service side by side. Fans continued to send support and messages online throughout their training.
Both members were promoted to Sergeant, recognized for their dedication and exemplary service in the Korean Army. Their journey inspired many fellow soldiers and global fans alike.
With just one month left before discharge, ARMYs worldwide organized special countdown events, shared letters, and ran online campaigns to celebrate Jimin and Jungkook’s return. The anticipation and excitement reached new heights!
On June 11, 2025, Jimin and Jungkook were honorably discharged as Sergeants from the 5th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade. They greeted fans at the discharge ceremony, sharing their gratitude with heartfelt salutes and radiant smiles.
